Oo La La Coffee Scrub

As I am sure most of you know, Coffee Scrubs have been taking the beauty industry by storm over the past year with brands such as Frank and Lush bring out their coffee scrubs said to get rid of cellulite, scars and stretch marks.

The average store bought coffee scrub costs approximately £12.00 for 200g which I think it is a little expensive so I thought why not make my own!

Ingredients

3 tablespoon of ground coffee (can be fresh or used - but make sure it has cooled)

1 tablespoon of granulated sugar

1/3 tablespoon of cocoa powder

pinch of salt

1 tablespoon of oil (olive or coconut)

This makes enough to cover your body once - it can be made in bulk and stored in an airtight container for a couple of weeks.

Method

In a bowl, mix the above ingredients together - it is a simple as that

To use your coffee scrub, I would recommend you apply it whilst standing in the bath or shower as it can be a little messy.

Wet/dampen your body and then simply massage the scrub on - it can even be used on your face! Once you have finished massaging the coffee scrub into your skin, which you can do for as long as you want as this helps to exfoliate your skin, leave the scrub to dry on your skin. This takes approximately 5 minutes.

Once the scrub has dried and your skin feels tight, wash the scrub off. Your skin should feel amazingly soft and moisturised.
